Peer Leaders' Appreciation Week
Appreciating Our Student Mentors
As learning and teaching evolve at FNU, the need for additional support to supplement learning grows fundamentally. Peer-to-peer learning is one such support that lends itself to students’ academic success. Learners need a friend, a guide, and a mentor who can provide friendly support in pursuing their educational goals.
Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) and noquBuddy are two student-enabled support programmes offered by the Centre for Learning and Teaching Enhancement (CLTE). Both initiatives are now fully implemented at FNU, covering all campuses, and are well received by students. The beauty of these schemes is that they are inclusive and can be flexibly applied to different disciplines and settings.
Currently, PAL and noquBuddy facilitation is at the helm of 81 dynamic and vibrant peer leaders. Our peer leaders provide unwavering and consistent support and guidance to the students under their mentorship, marking their presence as a vital and strong contributor to student success.
CLTE dedicates 26 to 30 August as “Peer Leaders’ Appreciation Week” to celebrate the work of these hardworking, dedicated, and robust student leaders.
Thank you to all our peer leaders for taking up the challenge and providing invaluable service to strengthen the PAL and noquBuddy programmes.
CLTE Salutes You!
